Thank you for applying for a role in the 2007 Metro Con Anime Human Chess Match. We were very pleased with the turn out and we had some very hard decisions to make. We regret to inform you that we did not have a suitable role for you this year. Thank you so much for trying out.

    See you in July,

    Nicholas Fazio
    Chess Match Director
    Metro Con.

What I gained: New stretches, sore shoulders, and a new desire to get strong again. Hopefully it lasts long enough to get back into martial arts.

Due to boredness and the fact that someone else did it before me so I don't look showy-offy, I present "Loot: Trevor Edition"! Even though I tried to tell my parents not to get me a lot of stuff so that they could give me more money when I went off to college, I got a lot of stuff for Christmas.

Just for those who want to see me in drag: (this is rather rushed and not the best pics, but are fairly representative of the ridiculousness)

After 4 years of (ok, not) trying, there is finally a japanese club at my school! A few weeks ago I talked with the math teacher at my school who speaks japanese after I did my foreign language mass petition in japanese (last year she said I talked like a yakuza because I acquired my accent from violent anime but this year she said I toned it down well) She told me that one of the new demi-padres at Jesuit was super-fluent (haha, pun) and he was interested in setting up a club. (note: this guy looks like he'd be right at home in the role of cardinal richelieu's (yes i looked up that spelling) personal assassin in the three musketeers; thus, I call him the Jesuit Assassin) I didn't know it would actually happen until this morning when Shea announced that there would be a meeting for the Japanese Club during first club period and that he was moderating. I was kinda pissed because I'm in bloody NHS and we get in trouble if we don't go to the meetings and those are during 1st club period and they're useless. So after that I ran over and got to be there for like the last 3 minutes. It was cool because he was teaching the 'ickle firsties to say yes and no and such in japanese when I got there. There was a pretty good turnout, plus I talked to him a bit after the meeting and now we're going to hold weekly meetings on fridays before school! This almost makes up for not being able to Naruto: Gekitou Ninja Taisen 4 (I am not bloody calling it "Clash of the Ninja") with Owen in the counseling center during free periods. Almost, though we could probably get the JA to be down with video games during meetings. Huzzah!

Wow, I finally started to make some money off skilled labor/intellect this weekend. I tutored on Saturday for one hour and made $25 and today I worked on my grandmother's computer today for 2 or so hours and she gave me $80 though I suppose that was more just because she wanted to give me money. That totally paid for my bibliobinge last week. Awesome.

Ah, I felt something odd last night. It was almost as though I was at peace. Did anyone else feel that?

I just discovered a new love today! I realize my money is going to be leaving me soon unless someone else shares this love and can lend me their books, even if the library had them we have a strained relationship and I don't know if she would welcome me back to her kind bosom.

    But, back to the point.

After ascending in KOL, I hung out in Valhalla for a bit and had the adventure where Death, in three forms (one being the Discworld Death YOU KNOW THIS ONE) challenges you to some games and talks about the infinite. Well, I was curious about the other two forms, so I looked it up on the KOL wiki. One was from some movie, which didn't especially grab my fancy, but the other was the Death from Neil Gaiman's The Sandman. This made me look into it a bit, but I wasn't about to go lay down $20 to get the first (of 11 volumes). Last night, I wiki-surfed upon a page that compiled every archetypal superhero power and I kinda looked around there and read the wiki page on Deadpool (if anyone has any issues of that I'd love to read them), and looking at the gn compilations of the new series that has him, (conjoined with the awesome 30% borders coupon i had) I thought I might as well see if I could pick up the first volume of Sandman.

Well, I just finished reading it and it is really quite awesome. It just saddens me that there goes a big chunk of money if my will is weak (or maybe I was just saving it for something big like this, i dunno) However, of interest to Lucy, on the back page where it has all the books the lie outside the 11 volume main story, it listed one that was illustrated by Yoshitaka Amano! Now I defnitely have to get a copy and hopefully he'll sign it at Amanocon!

But yeah, Boo Spending all of my money! Hooray Red Stripe! It's Beer! Hooray Beer!

Mmmn, I'm all full of sushi! My dad won $50 of gift certificates to Bonsai Sushi, so I took Peter, Alex, and Joey there tonight, though we spent over $100. I felt kinda bad since I probably gave the impression that everybody would be taken care of, but everybody still had to pitch in a lot. Still, my tummy is yummy with tuna, mackerel, squid, and tofu (and everybody notices the difference). And we finished it all off with the pokemonesque candy.

I found some new stuff at Oceanic today! After Alex, Peter, and I went to Gameworks to have some back-to-school DDR (they don't have time cards all the time anymore that I can scam with!) Peter took me to Oceanic and I found some new stuff called Cubyrop. Aside from the sheer coolness of nonsensicality, they're like those little candies in pokemon ruby and sapphire that you feed them to increase their contest stats, except they're stuck together randomly like in Dr. Mario. And they're yummy! They also had cherry hi-chew, which I hadn't seen before. And the soda sampler that I love that always has a fifth sucky flavor that is a total waste finally got over their mistakes with Bikkle and Latte-Latte and put something that is actually enjoyable! I think it's called Hajike Sugii! (the exclamation is part of the name) I have no clue what it means, but it's delicious and as you can see the wrapper looks soo cool.

Edit: Actually that new flavor is called Paburuman, I looked on the back of the bag. I think hajike sugii was just a description. Still, awesome.

Wow, I just came up with a new religion while I was in the shower, and it would totally end world conflict and everyone could have what they need. I think even in its 10-minute-old form it already makes more sense than scientology, so I could get every hippy to follow it. Though it is socialistic by nature, it is my hope that if everyone followed it then we could still have institutionalized capitalism and democracy, but it should spur everyone to make the world de facto socialist. I'd explain it, but then everyone would convert and I would bloody go to hell for making world peace. Though I realize that the religion has no way of stopping free love and many could interpret it to be promoting of it. But yeah, I realize for almost any religion, if everyone in the world believed and followed it perfectly we would all just get along, so it really isn't that groundbreaking. I'm just glad I'm smarter than L. Ron Hubbard and Tom Cruise.

And sorry, Lucy. I think it totally beats the dominatrix religion we devised so very long ago. The Cult of Lucy and Trevor's Pervy Conversation has been defeated by a cult that holds deja vu as its highest spiritual experience (I would be in awe if anyone could figure out the bare bones of it just from that clue)

And yeah, I just watched a few smashing pumpkins videos and after seeing Stand Inside Your Love and Rocket, I realized where visual kei came from. There's malice mizer and the loose start of plc right there, respectively. But yeah, feel free to disagree.

Actually add Ava Adore to that list as well, plus pretty much all of their stuff.

I set a time-bomb (not literally you silly CIA kids) on wednesday morning that will most likely explode in my face on friday. Oh well, at least I proved to myself that I have the courage to do something like that without consulting anyone first. On a lighter note, I think parental controls are in trouble when a parent asks his son to turn them off so that he can look at weapons online and I was able to do it in like a minute. Are these companies really fooling themselves that when it matters parents can really use this stuff?

And as my "piss off half of the people that read this note" I think Daishi should stay on his own, he's much more hardcore that way, and if there's anything Trevor likes, it's hardcore stuff! I love the way he vacillates between saying Maria and Malia. If only I could escape this god-forsaken country of lying palefaces that stole the land from my people and go to Japan! (where guns are illegal, so that means that it will be easier to kill people with the fun-to-use weapons!) If only I wasn't a bloody paleface too...ToT

I feel a bit better today, thanks to Lucy talking to me all day about my woes. It seems I'll get to go sell my soul tomorrow to my aunt for $55 by babysitting her satan-children. I sure do like my $55 though. I think all that's left is for me to get caught in a rain storm, because that literary device always seems to bring purification to the character. I tried a shower, but it's not quite the same. Plus it seems I'll get to go hang out with friends on thursday and maybe tuesday so I'll finally be relieved of my summer solitude.

(oh yeah, i didnt mention it, but check out my facebook group that includes the acronym GIS if you want to see pics from my summer program)

Aye, first a real live florida id and now a real cell phone. I'm such a whore. My mom and sister decided they were going to get real cell phones and plans, not just my moms ancient and my sister's/dad's/my terrible-ass prepaid ones. So now I have a real cell phone, but it doenst even have tetris which, aside from the 5 minutes I use it each month to talk, is all I did with my old one. Yeah, I'm basically being bitchy because I want to sleep but cant yet again, and I'm kinda sick of some stuff. But don't worry, I'll still be laid back, happy fun time Trevor (Lost reference intended) next time you see me. I wish I had brothers karamazov read and was back in school already, just to distract me from the things that I have nothing better to do than lay around thinking and worrying about all day.

Oh wow, I think last week may have been my best week-as-a-whole ever. While the individual or three-day segments may not match some I've had before (those who know me in Tampa would get the three-day bit), I've never had seven contiguos (that's probably how it's spelled) days as awesome as the Notre Dame Global Issues Seminar. As most of you know, I value deeply free stuff (food in trash cans for one) and this seminar cost $125. That includes the $350 airplane ticket, the monutains of food they put before me, a room, and various transportation and activities for the nights. Plus unbounded knowledge of middle eastern conflicts.

I was one of 40 people (20 Male/20 Female) who were invited, and I made really good friends with pretty much all of them. Even though we did spend the days learning, they had us bowling, salsa dancing, watching movies, setting fires, eating, exploring at night. On thursday we went to Lake Michigan, where I climbed (by Florida standards) a mountain and nearly passed out a few times in the process. When I got to the top I pretty much fell down it while barely keeping my feet and then basically passing out again.

However, this made me realize just how much better college is than high school. I dunno if I'll be able to enjoy senior year for want of being in college ASAP. Maybe it will motivate, maybe I'll just fall into the pits of despair. Regardless, I won't be doing half the work of you King IB kids. (haha, had to rub it in your face again christine. im trying to enrage you to the point of leveling up)

Luckily in this age of telecommunications, the distances between us are no more thanks to all these web sites and such. Plus, we're all going to Notre Dame anyway, so we were only saying good-bye for a year and a month. And for those interested, you can find a bunch of pics via my facebook group that has to do with GIS. (and to alleviate those who do not understand my icon, that's one of the teachers we had and he is now one of my favorite people on earth and on the subject of rashied omar, he took us to a mosque, which was really cool. for those of you who shall never meet rashied omar, friend of nelson mandela and desmond tutu, i pity your fate)

Wow, I got the strong desire to rediscover The Adventures of Pete & Pete tonight. That theme song is the best ever (for american TV don't worry japanophiles). And I learned the term jangle pop, which apparently I really like. A lot. Here are two episodes I found on youtube. Prime examples of why I would like to go 15 years back in time.

Ah, I meant to make a photo post last monday and a bit of a post on friday but I'm too lazy, plus not only am I playing the Discworld MUD right now, I got moderately addicted to Maple Story (about a year too late and everyone on the game is better than me)(well same with both of them, the Discworld game is from 1999, before I even read my first Terry Pratchett book) Just for all you childrens I'll be sure to put up the pics because there's one really funny one.
